SUBCOMMITTEES

The committee has developed three subcommittees in its quest to serve the AMATYC membership.  The Assessment subcommittee discusses assessment of student learning in distance education courses and hopes to develop a position statement. The Best Practices subcommittee addresses current practices, what works and what doesn’t, issues of how to get started teaching distance learning courses, and establishing a mentoring network They are looking at current practices.  The Professional Development subcommittee investigates best practices to support those teaching mathematics distance learning courses both in the course development and the implementation phases.
